Coming from the live casino experts over at Playtech, Casino Hold'em is a faithful rendition of the popular poker variant that has been a staple of both land-based and online gaming venues for many years now, with this specific title coming from the team over at Playtech. Seamlessly combining the classical ruleset of poker with fast-paced gameplay, this title also comes hand in hand with professional live dealers, a sleek design, and a series of interactive gameplay options, making it a popular live poker option here at BoyleSports.
This Casino Hold'em title uses a highly professional overall design, with a black felted poker table sitting centrally on the live feed here. A dealer sits behind play here, with the all-important card shoe being located conveniently to their right. On the table, the logo of this game can be seen, as well as any cards that are dealt during play. Taking a look at the studio this takes place in, many other live casino games can be seen playing out simultaneously, with some golden and marble elements adding an extra touch of sophistication to this release's aesthetic.
Aligned across the bottom of the play screen in Casino Hold'em is the players' balance and their current bet. Positioned directly above these two pieces of information are the games' different betting options, each of which is designed in a different colour. As cards are dealt in Casino Hold'em, these are displayed as animated icons, displaying clearly which hands are part of the dealer, player and house card hands. Like with other table games such as Casino Stud Poker and 3-Card Brag in the same genre, this specific release keeps things simplistic, yet authentic, in its presentation.
Taking a look towards the top right-hand corner of Casino Hold'em, players can also find the live chat menu, a fixture of many table titles such as live baccarat and live blackjack. With this, players can send messages and questions to other players at the table and even the dealer, and they can respond promptly to any enquiries.
Playing Casino Hold'em follows the traditional rules of Texas Hold’em poker; however, this does still feature a slight twist from this version. Instead of competing against other players, you instead play directly against the dealer in play.
At the beginning of each round in Casino Hold'em, players will select an ante bet, with this being their initial wager required to be able to enter the round. After these ante bets are placed, both the dealer and the player are dealt two cards face down. At the same time, three community cards are placed face up on the Casino Hold'em table, with this being referred to as the flop.
After this flop has been revealed to players, they can then decide to fold their hand or call. If folding, you automatically forfeit that round; however, if calling, the initial ante must be doubled. Following all bet decisions being made, a further 2 community cards are dealt. By using the cards in the player's hand, along with the community cards, the aim here is to try and form the best possible 5-card poker hand. The highest to lowest card hands in Casino Hold'em are as follows:
Royal Flush: 10, J, Q, K and Ace all of the same suit.
Straight Flush: Five cards in sequential order of the same suit.
Four of a Kind: Four cards of the same rank.
Flush: Five cards of the same suit. These do not have to be in sequence.
Straight: Five cards in sequence. These can be of different suits.
Three of a Kind: Three cards of the same rank.
Two Pair: Two sets of matching cards.
One Pair: A singular set of matching cards.
High Card: If none of the above hands can be formed, the highest card is used to determine the outcome of the round.
Alongside the traditional, polished gameplay of Casino Hold'em, Playtech has also included a unique side bet. This is referred to as the ‘AA’ bonus, and this sees the player place a wager on the player or dealer having a hard containing a pair of Aces, more commonly referred to as pocket aces.
Like every single other release we have from Playtech at BoyleSports Games, Casino Hold'em is cross-compatible with all types of devices and play methods. By connecting to the internet, this retains all of the live-streamed elements of this game, not having to downgrade their impressive levels of quality in any way at all.
By pitting players against the dealer in a unique yet classical table game, it is no surprise that Casino Hold'em has proven to be such a popular addition to the online casino world, seamlessly blending together interactive live features and classical gameplay formulas.
If you are a fan of the refined game craft Playtech has showcased in Casino Hold'em, Unlimited Blackjack and Prestige Roulette are two other table games from this game studio.
