Royale Cashback Blackjack is a unique take on the classical table game that doesn't deviate too much from the foundations that have established this genre but still includes a creative mechanic that gives more strategic options for players at the table. This is one of the myriad of professional live casino games that Playtech claim responsibility for, with the live-streamed gameplay and interactive bet features all boasting the same high quality that this development studio is now synonymous with.
Beginning with the overall layout of Royale Cashback Blackjack, this is similar to other online casino games within Playtech's collection. The focal point here is the blackjack table, with this being complimented by an 8-deck card shoe located in a glossy black contraption to the right of play. The table itself is also black in colour, with this being accented by some clean golden accents. Unlike some other live blackjack games, Royale Cashback Blackjack just has a singular seat at the table; however, this can still accommodate multiple players simultaneously. Despite this, each decision a player makes is completely independent of any others made within the lobby by others at the same table.
The studio that Royale Cashback Blackjack takes place in is rather modern in its design, with gold and glossy back elements filing this setting. There is even an animated screen in the background here which displays the odds of the different side bets included, something which we will mention later on. At the helm of the table is the live dealer, with them dealing each hand throughout play, all whilst interacting with any messages sent through the live chat. This menu is easily accessed in the upper right-hand corner here, similar to other genres like live baccarat and sic bo and live roulette. In addition to this, players can also conveniently view their balance and bet at the bottom of the screen, in keeping with the user-friendly interface in Royale Cashback Blackjack.
The gameplay mechanics of Royale Cashback Blackjack follow the traditional format seen in most of Playtech’s other blackjack offerings. The overall aim here is for players to try and achieve a hand that has a value as close to 21 as possible. This is done with cards dealt at the start and during play; however, when doing so, they must ensure they do not go bust by surpassing 21. At the same time, the players must also beat the dealer in order for their hand to be deemed a successful one.
After setting their desired stakes, the dealer places 2 cards facing up to the singular seat at the table in Royale Cashback Blackjack. As well as this, the dealer will also deal themselves 2 cards; however, only one of their values is visible at first. Face cards, including the King, Queen and Jack, are valued at 10 points apiece, numbered cards from 2-10 have their own respective face value, and the Aces could either be counted as a 1 or 11 depending on the cards already in the player's hand.
Once the initial cards are dealt, players have four primary betting options to select from:
Hit: An extra card is added to the player's hand.
Stand: No further cards are taken, with the player sticking with their current cards.
Double Down: By doubling the bet stake, players receive one final card for their hand.
Split: If dealt a matching pair, players can double their stake and split their hand into two.
Once again, we must reiterate that all decisions made by the player in Royale Cashback Blackjack are independent of just them, with all other player decisions being negated when playing with the same hand. After players finalise their choices, the dealer reveals their other hidden card. If the hand is 16 or less, the dealer must continue to add cards to their hand until it is valued at 17 or more. If it is already 17 or higher, the dealer stands, with this rule also being featured in Unlimited Blackjack and All Bets Blackjack as well.
One of the main bonus features in Royale Cashback Blackjack is the titular Cashback mechanic. After the player is dealt two cards at the start of the round, they have the option to use the cashback button displayed on the screen to reclaim a portion of their original bet should the hand value be an unfavourable one in their opinion. This bonus is also found in games such as Italian Cashback Blackjack also from Playtech.
In addition to this, some familiar side bets have also been included in Royale Cashback Blackjack, with these all being neatly displayed towards the bottom of the playscreen. These include 21 3, Lucky Lucky, Top 3, Dealer Pair, Player Pair and Buster. Thanks to the various options available here, this adds some additional levels to the gameplay experience.
Like other Playtech table games we have available at BoyleSports Games, Royale Cashback Blackjack is optimised completely for mobile play. Whether a smartphone, tablet or desktop PC be the preferred play method of a user, the same seamless, high quality blackjack gameplay is provided to players, provided they have an internet connection that is stable.
Compared to some other entrants in the genre, Royale Cashback Blackjack stands out thanks to it slightly pushing the limits with the additional cashback mechanic. As well as this, it still provides a solid blackjack experience overall, with the added side bet options adding some more variety to gameplay in turn.
In addition to Royale Cashback Blackjack, Playectcbh offers some more inventive blackjack titles, most notably Mega Fire Blaze Blackjack Live and the multiplier-focused Quantum Blackjack Plus.
